EUFOR Commander Major General Maurizio Fronda meet with the Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, HE. Mr. Kevin Thuillier.

Ambassador Thuillier and Major General Fronda exchanged views on the current security environment and the importance of continued international engagement in support of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s institutions. They also discussed EUFOR’s ongoing efforts to support a safe and secure environment, including capacity‑building activities with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, EUFOR Commander Major General Fronda expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ambassador for all the support they provide to EUFOR, and above all, to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He noted the recent arrival of French EUFOR reserve forces to Bosnia and Herzegovina by air and rail, complete with vehicles and equipment, to participate in the annual Exercise Quick Response 2026.
COM EUFOR commended the professionalism, determination and capability that French forces demonstrated, not only during Exercise Quick Response, but on a continuous basis throughout all of EUFOR’s training and operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, by thanking to all French soldiers who are serving in EUFOR mission Althea alongside with other 23 nations.
At the end of this productive meeting, Major General Fronda reaffirmed EUFOR’s readiness to maintain close cooperation with all the Embassies in pursuit of common goals, emphasizing EUFOR's strong commitment to remain visible, credible, and impartial.
