On 6 October, DCOM EUFOR, Brigadier General Balint Legoza, visited the Weapon Storage Site (WSS) at Rajlovac Barracks to gain a closer look at the equipment and capabilities maintained at the location, with a particular focus on the KUB surface-to-air missile system.

The visit began with a presentation on the Tactical Support Brigade, delivered by Col. Elvir Faljić, followed by briefings at the Air Force and Air Defence Brigade. Col. Radenko Prerad provided an overview of the brigade, while Lt. Col. Edis Bašić, Commander of the Air Defence Battalion, presented the battalion’s role, capabilities and responsibilities.

The visit continued with a tour of the hangar, where DCOM had the opportunity to see the KUB surface-to-air missile system up close and receive an introduction to its capabilities and operational role.

Beyond the equipment itself, the visit provided an opportunity for open discussions and a better understanding of the people, units and capabilities behind the systems maintained at Rajlovac.

Visits like this help turn briefings and information into a clearer picture of how capabilities are maintained, supported and prepared to meet operational requirements.
