EUFOR Commander Major General Maurizio Fronda welcomed Major General Johan van Deventer, founder and first Commander of the Netherlands Joint Force Command (NLD JFC), during his visit to EUFOR.
As the operational headquarters of the Dutch Armed Forces, the NLD JFC directs and coordinates Dutch military deployments worldwide. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss the importance of strategic coordination and close cooperation in support of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s institutions and their efforts to strengthen national capacity and security.
Major General Fronda expressed his appreciation for the Netherlands’ valuable contribution to international peace and stability, including the dedicated service of Dutch personnel within EUFOR and their continued support to the successful fulfilment of EUFOR’s mandate.
Both two commanders reaffirmed their shared commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Major General Fronda also underlined EUFOR’s commitment to remaining a visible, credible and impartial partner working closely with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s institutions and international partners in support of lasting peace and stability.
