COM EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, continued his programme of engagement with local authorities across Bosnia and Herzegovina, meeting the Mayor of Neum, Mr. Dragan Jurković and Mayor of Ljubuški Mr. Vedran Markotić.
In Neum, the only town on the Bosnia and Herzegovina coastline, and Ljubuški, a city in the West Herzegovina Canton, Major General Fronda met with Mayors Jurković and Markotić, to exchange views on the local situation, current developments and issues affecting the municipalities.
Regular engagement with mayors and municipal authorities enables EUFOR to maintain direct contact with local communities, gain a better understanding of the situation on the ground and hear local perspectives.
These meetings are held as part of EUFOR’s continued commitment to maintaining a visible, credible and impartial presence throughout the country, but also to get deeper knowledge about situation on the ground.
EUFOR remains focused on supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens.
