EUFOR troops conducted a coordinated deployment to Krčmarice and Mostar on 26 August as part of the first day of live exercise activity during Exercise Quick Response 2026.

In the opening training activity, an Italian company deployed by CH-47 Chinook from Camp Butmir, while an Albanian platoon moved from the Temporary Staging Area in Banja Luka. The multinational elements converged in the municipality of Krčmarice, where they conducted an exercise focused on securing an ammunition storage site and a weapons storage site.

The activity marked the beginning of a series of demanding scenarios taking place across Bosnia and Herzegovina during Exercise Quick Response 2026. These scenarios are designed to test EUFOR’s ability to reinforce its presence, integrate reserve forces with troops already deployed in theatre and respond effectively wherever required.

Through regular multinational training, EUFOR maintains the readiness and capabilities required to fulfil its mandate and to support the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
