The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Fronda, met with the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lidija Bradara, in Sarajevo for a high-level engagement focused on the security environment and continued cooperation.

During the meeting, Major General Fronda reaffirmed EUFOR’s unwavering commitment to supporting the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens. Discussions highlighted the importance of stability, institutional resilience, and close coordination between international and domestic actors in addressing current and emerging security challenges.

“EUFOR remains fully committed to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Major General Fronda.
“Through our presence, partnership, and readiness, we continue to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all citizens.”

Both parties underscored the strong and ongoing cooperation between EUFOR and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in the area of joint training and capacity building. This cooperation plays a vital role in enhancing interoperability and ensuring collective readiness to respond effectively to any security situation.

In this context, the upcoming ‘Combined Response 26’ exercise, scheduled to take place next week, was highlighted as a key demonstration of this partnership, further strengthening coordination and readiness.

EUFOR continues to operate under its mandate in support of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, demonstrating its role as a credible, visible, and impartial force across the country.
