COM EUFOR met with Minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Dubravka Bošnjak, to discuss areas of mutual interest, including institutional resilience and inter-agency cooperation.
The meeting underlined the importance of coordinated efforts between military and civilian institutions in guaranteeing long-term stability within Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, Major General Fronda and Minister Bošnjak discussed current priorities within the Ministry’s broad portfolio, including civil protection, disaster response coordination, and the continued development of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s institutional capacities. Both sides emphasized the importance of close civil‑military cooperation, particularly in ensuring preparedness for emergencies where coordinated action is vital.
Major General Fronda underlined EUFOR’s readiness to assist where possible through capacity-building activities, training, and information exchange, noting that EUFOR’s mandate includes supporting a safe and secure environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Minister Bošnjak expressed appreciation for EUFOR’s longstanding presence and its constructive role in strengthening the country’s resilience and institutional effectiveness. Major General Fronda reaffirmed EUFOR’s commitment to continue being a reliable and stable partner to the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
