Today, February 23, 2026, the EUFOR Commander, Major General Maurizio Fronda, held meeting with the Austrian Ambassador, H.E. Georg Diwald, in Sarajevo.
This significant meeting provided an opportunity open and constructive discussion on how EUFOR and the Austrian Embassy can best support the authorities in BiH. During this meeting, EUFOR commander, Major General Fronda, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Austrian Embassy for all the support they provide to EUFOR, but above all, to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the end of this productive meeting, Major General Fronda reaffirmed EUFOR’s readiness to maintain close cooperation with the AUT Embassy in pursuit of common goals, emphasizing EUFOR's strong commitment to remain visible, credible, and impartial.
