Today at Camp Butmir, COM EUFOR Major General Florin Marian Barbu welcomed H.E. Ruben Brekelmans, Minister of Defence of the Netherlands, General Onno Eichelsheim, Chief of Defence of the Netherlands, and H.E. Henk van den Dool, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Their discussions focused on the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. COM EUFOR reaffirmed EUFOR’s vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with local partners. He also highlighted the valuable contribution of Dutch personnel within the Force.
Minister Brekelmans and General Eichelsheim also met with the Netherlands contingent deployed at Camp Butmir, strengthening ties and recognizing their dedicated service.
