Today at Camp Butmir, EUFOR hosted the Distinguished Visitors Day as part of Quick Response 2025. its longest-running and most impactful annual exercise.
COM EUFOR Major General Florin Marian Barbu welcomed diplomatic and national representatives, senior officials from troop-contributing nations, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH), and BiH Law Enforcement Agencies.
The event opened with remarks from Major General Barbu and a keynote speech by HE Luigi Soreca, EU Special Representative and Head of the EU Delegation in BiH. Guests then witnessed a powerful live-action display led by Lieutenant Colonel Ioan Rus, Commander of the Multinational Battalion.
For the first time this year, EUFOR trained side-by-side with NATO-led KFOR troops, reserve units from the Czech Republic and Hungary, AFBiH, and BiH Law Enforcement Agencies, executing a complex scenario designed to test their limits and reinforce their readiness to safeguard the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
