On Tuesday, 7 April, the Deputy Commander of EUFOR, Brigadier General Bálint Legoza, was welcomed in Tuzla by Brigadier General Fahir Žilić, Commander of the 5th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AF BiH).

The visit provided an important opportunity for EUFOR’s Deputy Commander to receive a comprehensive update on the security situation in the Tuzla area, as well as ongoing joint activities and training conducted between EUFOR troops and the AF BiH. These efforts remain essential in ensuring a safe and secure environment across the country.
The meeting also served to reaffirm the strong and enduring partnership between EUFOR and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, built on more than two decades of successful cooperation. During his visit, Brigadier General Lógoza also visited the Austrian Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) House in Tuzla. This engagement offered valuable insight into EUFOR’s daily interaction with local communities. The Austrian team provided a detailed overview of their community engagement efforts and highlighted the strong relationships established with local citizens and institutions.
Brigadier General Legoza emphasized the vital role of LOT Houses across Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting their importance in fostering meaningful engagement between EUFOR, local communities, and national institutions.
