The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, together with the Commander of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, Brigadier General Jamie Fowler, today co-hosted a Security Roundtable at Camp Butmir, bringing together senior representatives from the international community to discuss developments affecting the security environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As the organisation mandated to support the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment, EUFOR remains committed to fostering dialogue, strengthening partnerships, and promoting a shared understanding of the evolving security landscape. The Security Roundtable formed an important part of that commitment, providing a forum for senior leaders to exchange perspectives, enhance situational awareness, and coordinate international efforts in support of long-term peace and stability.

Discussions focused on a range of contemporary issues with the potential to influence the security environment throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, including but not limited to the latest security developments, migration trends and preparations for the forthcoming elections. The roundtable highlighted the importance of timely information sharing, close coordination, and unity of effort among international partners in responding to emerging challenges and supporting the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The event brought together Acting High Representative Mr. Louis Crishock, Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Mr. Luigi Soreca, together with senior diplomatic representatives from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and the United States, as well as NATO Political Engagement Support Cell (PESC), the OSCE, the United Nations, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Speaking following the Security Roundtable, Major General Fronda underlined the value of sustained engagement among international partners.

"No single organisation can address today's security challenges in isolation. By bringing together partners from across the international community, we strengthen our collective understanding, align our efforts, and reinforce our shared commitment to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens," said Major General Fronda.

The Security Roundtable demonstrated the value of regular dialogue in building trust, strengthening cooperation, and ensuring that international partners remain aligned in their approach to supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through continued engagement and coordinated action, EUFOR and its partners continue to promote stability, resilience, and lasting security for all citizens.
