Today at Camp Butmir, COM EUFOR Major General Florin Marian Barbu had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Rastislav Chovanec, Deputy Minister at the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, together with H.E. Roman Hlobeň, Ambassador of Slovakia to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Their discussions focused on the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. COM EUFOR reaffirmed EUFOR’s vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens, underlining the importance of continued cooperation with both local and international partners. He also highlighted the valuable contribution of Slovak personnel serving within the Force.
Deputy Minister Chovanec also met with the Slovak contingent deployed at Camp Butmir, further strengthening ties and personally acknowledging their service.
