EUFOR is embracing and appreciating the diversity of cultural, historical and religious traditions of its Troop Contributing Nations. Organizing events of religious importance of the Catholic, Orthodox and Islam faith for EUFOR troops is based on impartiality, as one of the core values of EUFOR and it enhances mutual respect and cooperation within EUFOR and also, in interactions between EUFOR and the authorities as well as the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this context, COM EUFOR Major General László Sticz hosted an Iftar dinner on 08 April in Camp Butmir for the Muslim members of EUFOR. The evening prayer was led by Deputy Grand Mufti of BiH Mr. Enes Ljevaković and Military Mufti of the Ministry of Defence of BiH Mr. Hadis ef. Pašalić, and was followed by a pleasant feast.
