On 11 May 2017 the Chief of the Armed Forces of Switzerland, Lieutenant General Philippe Rebord visited EUFOR HQ, Camp Butmir for a meeting with Commander EUFOR, Major General Anton Waldner. This was his first visit to the EUFOR Althea mission since taking over as Chief of the Armed Forces in January 2017. He was greeted by an Honour Guard made up of Turkish troops from the Multinational Battalion.

Switzerland has 21 soldiers in BiH as part of Operation Althea including staff in the HQ and the manning of 2 LOT Houses in Mostar and Trebinje.
