On 19 September 2016, Minister of Defence Marina Pendeš held a meeting with the Commander of EUFOR Major General Friedrich Schrötter, during which they discussed the support of EUFOR to BiH Armed Forces and the upcoming exercise "Quick response 2016" .

General Schrötter informed Minister Pendeš on the activities of EUFOR to support the Armed Forces of BiH in the process of training and achieving the required standards for the purpose of interoperability of AFBiH with other International Military Forces.

Minister Pendeš thanked General Schrötter for the support EUFOR provides to the Defence Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina , and then exchanged information about the upcoming joint exercise EUFOR and Armed Forces BiH called " Quick response 2016" , which will take place early October 2016 at the training ground of the AFBiH " Manjača " in Banja Luka. The Minister expressed full support for the joint activities carried out by EUFOR and the Armed Forces of BiH and stressed that this exercise is the best way to practically assess and apply the achieved skills of our soldiers, NCOs and Officers.
