On 17 February 2016, the Chilean Ambassador, Ms María Verónica Chahin Sarah visited Headquarters EUFOR in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo.
During an office call with Commander EUFOR, Major General Johann Luif, the Ambassador was thanked for Chile’s continuing support to the EUFOR Mission. EUFOR’s Chilean soldiers were also praised for their dedication and professionalism.

On completion of this call at the HQ, the Ambassador met with remembers of the Chilean contingent who are supporting EUFOR with personnel in the Headquarters and the Chilean LOT house in Banja Luka. With over 12,000 kilometres separating the Chilean capital Santiago and Sarajevo, Chilean personnel in EUFOR have, by far, the greatest distance to travel of the Troop Contributing Nations within the Mission. Their support and professionalism continues to be of great benefit to the Mission’s aim and objectives.
