COM EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, continued his engagement with local authorities across Bosnia and Herzegovina on 23rd September, meeting the Mayor of Konjic, Osman Ćatić, and the Mayor of Visoko, Mirza Ganić.
In Konjic, COM EUFOR met Mayor Ćatić to exchange views on the local situation, current developments and issues affecting the community. Later in the day, Major General Fronda travelled to Visoko, where he met Mayor Mirza Ganić. The engagement provided a further opportunity to hear directly from local leadership and discuss developments within the municipality.
Regular engagement with mayors and municipal authorities is an important part of EUFOR’s approach to maintaining direct contact with communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina. These meetings allow EUFOR to hear local perspectives, strengthen relationships and maintain a broad understanding of developments throughout the country.
EUFOR remains committed to maintaining a visible, credible and impartial presence and to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
