Major General Maurizio Fronda, Commander EUFOR, visited the municipality of Nevesinje, where he met with the Mayor of Nevesinje, Mr. Milenko Avdalović, as part of EUFOR’s continued engagement with local authorities and communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the current security situation and to discuss issues of importance to the local community. Discussions with local authorities are an important part of EUFOR’s regular engagement across the country, allowing for an exchange of perspectives and a better understanding of developments and priorities at the local level. Major General Fronda reaffirmed EUFOR’s commitment to maintaining open and regular communication with local leaders. He underlined the important role of local authorities in contributing to stability and in providing a valuable perspective on the security environment and the needs of their communities.
EUFOR’s engagement with municipalities and local authorities across Bosnia and Herzegovina remains an important element of its approach to supporting a safe and secure environment.
