Personnel from EUFOR, Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Emergency Medical Services of both Banja Luka and Sarajevo conducted a three-day joint MEDEVAC (medical evacuation) training activity in Camp Butmir aimed at enhancing coordination, refining tactics, techniques, and procedures, and improving interoperability.
The training brought together medical professionals from a variety of organisations in a realistic environment, enabling them to practice coordinated responses to casualty evacuation scenarios. Such joint activities are essential in ensuring that EUFOR and the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina can operate effectively together when responding to potential security situations.
Through continuous training and cooperation, both EUFOR and our domestic partners demonstrate a shared commitment to professionalism, operational readiness, and adherence to international best practices. The exercise also highlighted the importance of rapid, coordinated medical support as a critical component of operational effectiveness.
By strengthening interoperability and preparedness, EUFOR and the domestic institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina remain ready to respond ensuring safety and stability for all citizens across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
