King of Spain attends Ceremony in Mostar

The King was the Guest of Honour for the opening ceremony of the renovated Spanish Square in the center of Mostar which now includes a memorial for 22 Spanish troops who lost their lives serving with the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Mostar and wider Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is hoped that the square and the monument will connect the citizens of Mostar to citizens of Spain, and will remind all of the selfless sacrifice of the Spanish soldiers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
