On 30th April 2026, the Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Gabriele Derighetti, in Sarajevo. Discussions focused on regional stability, continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the importance of strong international partnerships.
Major General Fronda expressed appreciation for Switzerland’s contribution to peace and stability, highlighting the value of coordinated diplomatic and military engagement. He also thanked to all Swiss soldiers who are serving in EUFOR mission Althea alongside with other 23 nations. As Major General Fronda said their professionalism and dedication are highly visible and recognized in EUFOR.
