On 13 January 2025, COM EUFOR Major General Florin Marian Barbu welcomed Ms. Maria Tripodi, Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, together with H.E. Sarah Eti Castellani, Ambassador of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Camp Butmir.
Their discussions focused on the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting EUFOR’s continued role in safeguarding peace and stability. COM EUFOR expressed his appreciation for the dedication and professionalism of the Italian personnel serving within the Force.
Undersecretary of State Tripodi also met with the Italian contingent, personally recognizing their service and reinforcing the strong ties between Italy and EUFOR.
