Troops of the Strategic Reserve Force (SRF) of EUFOR are already in Bosnia and Herzegovina and now their equipment also arrived. They will be soon conducting patrols across BiH and training with EUFOR in-theatre forces and elements of Armed Forces of BiH.

Major General Robert Brieger, Commander of EUFOR (COM EUFOR), undertook a visit to the Mostar area on 14 May 2012. The purpose of the visit was to receive briefings on the activities of the LOT Houses situated in Mostar and the surrounding area and to meet with the EUFOR personnel deployed to the region. He also took the opportunity to participate in a number of meetings in the area.

In the morning, COM EUFOR visited the Turkish LOT House in Jablanica and the Swiss LOT House in Mostar, where he received comprehensive briefings on the activities of the LOT teams and on the positive relationship which exists between the EUFOR LOTs and the local population.
This was followed by a working lunch with Mr Chris Bennett, Head of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) Regional Office in Mostar. A wide range of issues were discussed, including the current situation in Mostar and the surrounding area.
After lunch, General Brieger met with the Mayor of Mostar, Mr Ljubo Beslic, during which a discussion on current issues concerning Mostar took place. A visit to the Turkish LOT House in Siroki Brijeg in the afternoon brought the day to a close.
COM EUFOR praised the professionalism of the EUFOR personnel he met and thanked them for the important work they carry out on behalf of EUFOR.
