Major General Robert Brieger, Commander EUFOR (COM EUFOR), visited the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Armed Forces of BiH (AF BiH) and EUFOR’s Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) House in Travnik on 28 March 2012. COM EUFOR was accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Capacity Building & Training Division, Colonel Hayri Kaymaz, and Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, Colonel Celalettin Coban, who is responsible for the LOT Houses throughout BiH.
During the visit COM EUFOR received a briefing from the Chief Mobile Training Team TRADOC Improvement (MTT-TI) and Chief Exercise Planning Mobile Training Team (MTT-EP) on recent activities of the MTTs. He was also briefed by AF BiH’s Colonel Robert Susac (COM TRADOC) on the TRADOC organization structure, mission, current and future activities. COM TRADOC confirmed that AF BiH and EUFOR teams are working well together in order to accomplish the common goals.
At LOT Travnik, the General was updated on the team’s recent operational activities by the LOT Commander, Captain Erdem Ozgur.
The General praised all teams he met in Travnik for their thoroughly professional approach and their commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment and assisting in the development of the AF BiH.
