Major General Robert BRIEGER, Commander EUFOR visited Regional Command Centre (RCC) South and LOT House Sarajevo on 16 December 2011.
COM was met and briefed by Chief RCC South Lt Col Vladimir STOLÁRIK, from Slovakia. A question and answer session followed the brief involving COM and the RCC staff.
COM then travelled to LOT Sarajevo and was briefed by Depty Chief LOT, Lt KOLARIK. COM was given a tour of the very modern EUFOR LOT House and shown the equipment used by Slovak LOT patrols on a daily basis.
After this visit COM hosted a lunch for representatives from of Headquartes EUFOR, RCC South & LOT Sarajevo.
This was COM EUFOR’s first visit to an RCC & LOT House. He plans to visit all RCC & LOT locations in the coming weeks and months to support the staff and inform himself of the tasks being undertaken by EUFOR personnel.
