On Tuesday 28 August 2012 the ceremony marking the Change of Command for the Multi-National Battalion MNBN took place in Camp Butmir.
A number of distinguished guests, including the Governor of Carinthia Mr. Gerhard DÖRFLER, Brigitte Pfriemer of the Austrian Embassy in Sarajevo, the Deputy Commander Operational Command AFBiH Brigadier General Mirko TEPŠIĆ, the Commander of the 4th Infantry Brigade AFBiH Brigadier Tomo KOLENDA and Commander NATO HQ Sarajevo Brigadier General Walt T. LORD witnessed Major General BRIEGER, COM EUFOR, passing the Command of the MNBN from LTC Thomas HOLZBAUER to LTC Hartmut ÖMER.
In his speech the General praised LTC HOLZBAUER for his excellent work as Commander of MNBN over the last 6 months and wished LTC ÖMER the best of luck for the future as the new Commander. He also gave thanks to the soldiers of the MNBN for carrying out their duties in such a dedicated and professional manner.
