EUFOR air assets remain on standby but low clouds still do not provide sufficient visibility to allow safe air operations. The conditions have also affected EUFOR troops across BiH; in particular the LOT house in Doboj was flooded and could not be evacuated yesterday.
EUFOR air operations are maintaining close contact with AFBiH who know the terrain in detail to coordinate possible evacuation operations today. As soon as weather conditions improve, EUFOR stands ready to start air operations with three helicopters, two of them equipped with winch systems. According to the latest weather forecast this is likely to happen later today.

To increase overall air lift capacities EUFOR has today agreed to a request from BiH Ministry of Defense for a loan of 20.000 liters helicopter fuel to support AFBiH air operations.
Additionally, around 130 soldiers with vehicles are still on standby in Camp Butmir to support requests of the BiH Ministry of Security as roads to affected areas are blocked. Two liaison officers remain deployed there to activate EUFOR resources within our means and capabilities upon request.
A media update will be released when new information is available.
