This week, EUFOR personnel from Liaison Observation Teams (LOT) Doboj donated school supplies to children in Primary schools in Dragalovci and Stanic Rijeka. The teachers thanked the EUFOR personnel for their consideration and for the school supplies on behalf of the parents and children of the schools.

On 5 February 2021 EUFOR Camp Butmir was proud to hold an International Medal Parade for 105 Service personnel from 11 different Nations. The soldiers, sailors and airmen based at Camp Butmir and serving throughout BiH were addressed at the formal ceremony by the Commander of EUFOR, Major General Alexander Platzer. He thanked all attending for their effort and dedication and the service they have provided in supporting local authorities to deliver a safe and secure environment.

Today, 3 February 2021, COMEUFOR Major General Alexander Platzer received an introductory brief from Major General Radovan Ilić, Commander of the Operations Command, Armed Forces Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today, 5 February 2021, COMEUFOR Major General Alexander Platzer continued his introductory visits in Bosnia and Herzegovina. COMEUFOR and US Ambassador Mr Eric Nelson met at the ambassador’s residence for an introductory meeting in which a positive conversation was had.

LOT House Sarajevo was inspected on Tuesday 2 February by COMEUFOR Major General Alexander Platzer. At the Slovakian LOT House, COMEUFOR received a number of briefs from LOT team leaders and house commander, Major Robert Lakatoš.

On the 4th February the EUFOR Multi National Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Wilfing led a combined platoon of Turkish and Austrian personnel to the Trebevic Mountain South of Sarajevo. The purpose of this was to maintain their mountain climbing skills and physical endurance. Upon arrival at the start point, the Multi National Battalion Commander delivered a route brief, which was to cover approximately 14km with a climb of 600m.

Continuing his introductory meetings, COMEUFOR Major General Alexander Platzer paid a visit to EU Special Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Johann Sattler in Sarajevo today, 01 February 2021.
