On February 1st 2023, the Defense Committee of the German Bundestag, chaired by Mrs. Agnes-Marie Strack-Zimmermann visited the EUFOR HQ in Sarajevo. During a meeting with COM EUFOR, Major General Helmut Habermayer, the political and security situation in BiH was discussed.

In the course of these talks, assessments were made regarding the future challenges of the EUFOR Op ALTHEA and the reintegration of German soldiers into the mission, since their deployment in August 2022.

A meeting with the soldiers from the German Bundeswehr contingent in Sarajevo marked the end of the visit of the Delegation of the Defense Committee of the German Bundestag to BiH.
