On 26 May 2026, senior representatives of EUFOR and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) of Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered at Camp Butmir, Sarajevo, for a high-level meeting aimed at further strengthening cooperation, exchanging experiences, and identifying new areas for future collaboration.

The meeting underscored the importance of the strong partnership and continuous dialogue between EUFOR and domestic law enforcement institutions in supporting a safe, secure, and stable environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Participants highlighted the value of the existing cooperation framework established through the Memorandum of Understanding between EUFOR and LEAs, while also exchanging views on current challenges and opportunities for enhanced cooperation.

Discussions emphasized the shared commitment to strengthening professional standards, transparency, accountability, and mutual support in maintaining stability and security. EUFOR continues to operate under its mandate in support of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, maintaining a credible, visible, and impartial presence across the country.
