The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met with the Chief of Police of the Brčko District, Mr. Goran Pisić, during an official visit to Brčko.

EUFOR Reaffirms Support to Authorities During Brčko Visit

The meeting focused on the current security environment, continued cooperation between EUFOR and law enforcement authorities, and the importance of maintaining stability and upholding the rule of law throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During discussions, Major General Fronda reaffirmed EUFOR’s commitment to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens, in line with its mandate under Operation Althea. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of strong institutional cooperation, coordination, and professionalism in preserving long-term stability.

Major General Fronda stated: “EUFOR remains a visible, credible, and impartial force, fully committed to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Respect for the rule of law, continued cooperation, and strong institutions remain essential pillars of long-term stability across the country.”

The meeting also highlighted the important role played by law enforcement agencies in maintaining public safety and security, as well as the value of continued dialogue and engagement between EUFOR and domestic institutions.
