EUFOR Commander Major General Fronda today 3 March 2026 attended the Handover Ceremony of the proceeds from Diplomatic Winter Bazaar, which was held in December 2025 in Sarajevo and attended by EUFOR troops. COM EUFOR joined representatives of the diplomatic community as the proceeds from the 2025 Bazaar were formally presented to a range of charitable organisations across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This year’s donations place particular emphasis on initiatives that support and improve the lives of children and young people. The selected organisations work across education, health, social inclusion, and community development, ensuring that the funds raised contribute directly to creating safer, healthier, and more supportive environments for the country’s youth.
Major General Fronda highlighted the importance of collective engagement in strengthening communities and expressed EUFOR’s appreciation for the dedication of the organisers, volunteers, and visitors who made the Bazaar a success. The ceremony underscored the strong cooperation between international partners and local organisations, reflecting a shared commitment to positive social impact.
Speaking after the event, Major General Fronda said that “Today’s ceremony reminds us that when communities come together, real change is possible. The support provided to these causes will directly improve the lives of children and young people across Bosnia and Herzegovina, and EUFOR is proud to stand alongside all those who make this effort a reality.” EUFOR is proud to stand alongside partners who work tirelessly to improve opportunities for children and young people throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, and remains committed to supporting initiatives that foster stability, resilience, and community wellbeing.
