On 03 July 2013 Brigadier General József Szpisják, Chief of Staff Headquarters EUFOR, paid a visit to the Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
The centre was established in May 2003 based on a proposal from the UK Ministry of Defence and transitioned to BiH ownership at the end of 2012. General Szpisják was received by the Commander of the training center, Colonel Jasmin Čajić and the visit commenced with a short briefing regarding the mission and goals of the PSOTC, where Brigadier General Szpisják was informed about the present activities, past achievements and future developments.
For many years an excellent example of this has been the open minded exchange of opinions between OS MEJDAN School, and the LOT TUZLA.
Transportation is a vital element in the Army. No military operation can be undertaken without the appropriate level, of support and logistics. A modern Army consists of multiple arms, branches and capabilities which all must be supported, managed and properly moved for any tactical mission to be achieved. Capacity Building and training of the transport structure and personnel from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AF BiH) is one of the main tasks of EU FOR. The transport structure must meet current requirements and ensure current and future interoperability requirements between AF BiH and the EU/NATO.
