On the 28th February 2011, COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair, welcomed Brigadier General Pavel Macko, the Slovakian Chief of Operations, General Staff. He was accompanied by the Slovakian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Dr. Miroslav Mojžita and Mr. Martin Sklenar, Director of the Slovakian Department of Foreign Affairs/ Ministry of Defence.
During an office call COM EUFOR, updated them on the situation within Bosnia and Herzegovina and thanked General Macko for the contribution of extra troops to the Op Althea mission. As part of a reorganisation Slovakia is taking charge of a Regional Coordination Centre (RCC) South and the operation of 3 Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) Houses; in Višegrad, Novo Sarajevo and Foča.

On the 28th February 2011, COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair, welcomed to Camp Butmir Major General Wolf-Dietrich Kriesel, the Deputy Commander of the German Armed Forces Operations Command. He was accompanied by Ms. Christiana Markert, Counsellor and Deputy Head of the German Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During an office call COM EUFOR briefed him on the current organisation of Op ALTHEA and his overall assessment of the security situation within Bosnia and Herzegovina. He thanked Germany for the support that it provides to EUFOR and for the professional manner in which it is conducting a reorganisation of some of its troops.

On the 21st February COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair, hosted the Greek Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina His Excellency Mr. Procopios D. Mantzouranis on his farewell visit to Camp Butmir.
During the Office Call COM EUFOR updated the Ambassador on the current operations and status of Operation Althea, and the work that the Greek Troops assigned to EUFOR are conducting.

On the 18th February 2011, COS HQ EUFOR, Brigadier General Günter Giesa visited the Turkish Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) house in Široki Brijeg. It is a small town with about 7,000 mostly B-Croatian inhabitants.
The Deputy LOT house Chief welcomed COS EUFOR and the visiting party and then introduced his crew. This was followed by a briefing on the current situation in the area of activities. The program ended with a short visit to the local monastery of the Order of

During an Office Call with COM EUFOR the Admiral discussed the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the work of the EUFOR mission, and the present formation and capabilities of the Op Althea forces.
