Playground equipment donated to Kindergarden in Bratunac_3

On the 30th of September Austrian members of EUFOR and distinguished guests visited ‘Radnost’ Kindergarten in Bratunac. During the visit a ceremony was conducted thanking the Austrian personnel for their donation of a playground facility. Present at the ceremony were the head of the Kindergarten Mrs. Jadranka Magazin, Bratunac Mayor Mr. Nedeljko Mlađenović, head of local social affairs department Mrs. Olja Čučić and EUFOR Austrian contingent commander Col Juergen Schlechter. A ribbon was cut during the ceremony, marking the formal donation before the children began using the equipment.

Turkish personnel of LOT Livno distribute food to local people_1
On the 25th of September members of the EUFOR Turkish Liason and Observation (LOT) Team based in Livno distributed food parcels to needy individuals within their area. The team gave this food as a gesture of good will to the community, strengthening the relationships between the LOT team and the people they live with.

COM EUFOR visits LOT House Livno_3
On the 16th of September COM EUFOR Major General Johann Luif visited the Turkish Liason and Observation Team in Livno. After a welcome from the personnel, he received a brief on the day to day activities of the LOT house and the areas that it is responsible for. Also attending during the visit were Turkish Ambassador Cihad Erginay, Turkish Council General Ayşe Selcan Şanli, Turkish Military Attache Staff Colonel Aytuğ Şeker and Turkish Senior Military Representative Colonel Abdullah Özkantar.

EUFOR Multination Battalion Alpine March_3
On the 14th of September the Turkish soldiers of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion, alongside other EUFOR personnel working within Camp Butmir took part in an ‘Alpine March’. The event consisted of the group walking for over 6 hours to the peak at Bjelašnica.

Fostering comradeship
The purpose of the march was teambuilding, allowing the soldiers taking part to build upon their relationships with each other. 103 personnel took part, reaching the summit where they were able to see structures used during the 1984 Winter Olympics.

EUFOR trains the AFBiH in Geographical services_1
From the 7th of September until the 16th of October 2015, EUFOR conducted five “GEO Courses” for the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) at the Tactical Support Brigade Barracks in Rajlovac. In total 7 personnel from the AF BiH participated successfully.
