EUFOR trains the AFBiH in Radio maintenance_1

From the 12th until the 30th of October, a EUFOR Turkish Mobile Training Team conducted a training course instructing personnel from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) on the maintenance of radio communication devices. The training took place at the Tactical Support Brigade Barracks in Rajlovac, and in total 16 personnel completed the course successfully.

LOT House Novo Sarajevo participates in blood donation_1
On the 28th of October two members of the Slovakian LOT (Liason and Observation Team) House in Novo Sarajevo took part in a blood donation event organized by the Red Cross. Captain Peter Krenicky and Sergeant First Class Martin Kostros both gave blood at the event, which was run in coordination with the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of FBiH.

Members of LOT Novo Sarajevo donate clothes and footwear_2
On the 28th of October 2015, the members of Slovakian LOT (Liason and Observation Team) Novo Sarajevo provided donations in the form of various clothes and footwear for people in Kamenica. These were handed over to Secretary of Local Community Kamenica Mr. Mirsad Balta.

Quick Response 2015 Opening Ceremony_1

On the morning of the 13th of October, the personnel from across Europe taking part in Exercise Quick Response 15 gathered for the opening ceremony of the exercise. Soldiers from the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Austria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary all paraded in Camp Butmir, watched by COM EUFOR Major General Johann Luif. The ceremony lasted 30 minutes and consisted of a welcome given by Major General Luif and a short briefing on the exercise given by Chief of Staff EUFOR Brigadier General Zoltán Mihócza.

UK personnel arrive to take part in Exercise Quick Response 15_1

On the evening of Saturday the 10th of October, UK soldiers arrived in Sarajevo to take part in the upcoming Exercise Quick Response 15. Arriving in a Royal Air Force C-17 aircraft, light vehicles were also transported for use during the training. Also taking part in Exercise Quick Response 15 are Slovakian troops, alongside the Austrian, Turkish, Bulgarian, Hungarian and Romanian soldiers that are part of EUFOR’s permanent soldiers, the Multinational Battalion. EUFOR has 21 nations working within it currently in all areas ranging from Logistics to Aviation.
