Lieutenant General Commenda escorted by Major General Brieger is welcomed by an Honour Guard to EUFOR.

Lieutenant General Othmar Commenda, the Austrian Deputy Chief of Defence, was welcomed to Camp Butmir by his compatriot Major General Robert Brieger, the Commander of EUFOR on 18 July.  His arrival for the two day visit was formally marked by an Honour Guard comprising soldiers from all 24 troop contributing nations.

Major General Brieger and Brigadier General Huffman exchange leaving gifts.

As the outgoing Commander NATO HQ Sarajevo, Brigadier General Gary Huffman paid a final call on Commander EUFOR, Major General Robert Brieger on 29 June 2012.  Prior to exchanging gifts both Generals reflected on the recent progress that NATO and EUFOR had made towards sustaining a safe and secure environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).  They both re-iterated the need for EUFOR and NATO to continue to work together to support the Armed Forces BiH, particularly through training, mentoring and wider capability building.
Brigadier General T Walter Lord has now assumed command of NATO HQ Sarajevo.

On 26 June 2012 the Chief of Staff EUFOR - Brigadier General Ernő Siposs, together with the Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina - Renzo Daviddi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland - Jerzy Chmielewsky and the Ambassador of Hungary - Jozsef Pandur visited Doboj.

Lieutenant General Leandro De Vincenti (left) and Major General Robert Brieger, the Commander of EUFOR.

Lieutenant General Leandro De Vincenti, Head of the European Union Command Element in Naples, arrived in BiH on 18 June 2012 for a two day visit.
In addition to receiving updates on the Operation Althea Mission, Lieutenant General De Vincenti visited Tuzla with Major General Robert Brieger, the Commander of EUFOR. General De Vincenti was informed of the progress being made by the International Commission on Missing Persons by Mr Edin Jasaragic, Head of the Identification Coordination Division (ICD).

Major General Robert Brieger, Commander of EUFOR (COM EUFOR) paid an official visit to the Joint Forces Command of the Hungarian Defence Forces (JFC HDF), in Székesfehérvár on 7th June 2012.  General Brieger undertook an Office Call with Major General László Domján, Commander of JFC HDF, where ongoing issues were discussed regarding the general situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the West Balkan region including current operational activities of EUFOR in BiH.

COM EUFOR and Admiral Calderon.

Vice Admiral Teodoro E. López Calderón, Chief of Staff of Spanish Joint Operations Command in Madrid, visited EUFOR headquarters in Sarajevo on 30 and 31 May 2012.
The Admiral undertook an Office Call with Major General Robert Brieger, Commander of EUFOR (COM EUFOR), where the general situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the wider Balkan region was discussed.
