The EUFOR Chief of Staff Brigadier General Ernő Péter Siposs formally opened the Zenica tournament which was held in the impressive three pitch Gradska Dvorana sports hall. The fun packed tournament saw 32 boys’ teams and 16 girls’ teams play non-stop football throughout the day.

A total of 40 teams from Banja Luka and its surrounding areas: 32 boys’ teams and eight girls’ teams are taking part in three days of fun packed non-stop football at the Sportska Dvorana - Univerzitetski Campus.
The EUFOR Cup 2012 has once again proved to be extremely popular with schools throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year there are 285 teams taking part, these are made up of 205 boys’ teams and 80 girls’ teams.
The event was opened by the EUFOR Spokesperson Lieutenant Commander David Collins who said: “The aim of the EUFOR Soccer Cup is to bring together young people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, to not only play football together but also to make new friends.”

Fifteen students from all parts of BiH, who were the winners of EUFOR School Competition 2012, have just returned from their five day prize winning trip to Switzerland. The trip was generously provided by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the second year in the row!
The award has been handed to the students by the Swiss ambassador, his Excellency, Mr. Andre Schaller at the ceremony held in the Camp Butmir earlier this year!

The EUFOR Cup 2012 was formally opened in Ilidza by the Commander of EUFOR Major General Robert Brieger on 9 October 2012.
Teams from 285 primary schools have been eagerly awaiting the start of the fourth EUFOR Cup, which has once again proved to be extremely popular throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year 285 teams are taking part: these are made up of 205 boys’ teams and 80 girls’ teams.

Company commanders from Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and the United Kingdom spent 26 September at Rajlovac Barracks working with their counterparts from the Armed Forces BiH. They were joined by troops from EUFOR’s Multi-National Battalion in a planning exercise.
