Change of Command On 4th June 2010 in Camp Butmir COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair, oversaw the Change of Command in the Austrian contingent of EUFOR from Colonel Josef Holzer to Colonel Johann Lattacher.

Lt Gen Stojanovski at Camp Butmir On 19th May 2010 the Chief of General Staff of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Lieutenant General Miroslav Stojanovski, paid a visit to EUFOR BiH where he was greeted by a guard of honour in front of the Camp Butmir HQ.  During the subsequent office call with COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair, the two officers discussed a range of topics that included the contribution of the contingent of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the EUFOR ALTHEA mission.

Commemoration in Mostar On 15th May 2010 a remembrance ceremony for Spanish soldiers who had given their lives to the mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was held in the “Spanish Square,” Mostar.

The ceremony commenced at 12:00h, under heavy rain, and was presided over by the Spanish Ambassador, His Excellency Alejandro Alvargonzález. EUFOR HQ was represented by COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair. Both officials were formally received by the Multinational Battalion Commander Lt Col José M. Estévez and the event was further attended by civil and local dignitaries such as the mayor of Mostar. Mr Ljubo Beslic and the Chairman of the Herzegovina-Neretava Cantonal Government Mr Srecko Boras.

Weapon Destruction in Rajlovac On 13th May 2010, on the invitation of the Armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH), in cooperation with the U.S Embassy, COM EUFOR Major General Bernhard Bair attended the symbolic ceremony of the destruction of a token quantity of small arms and light weapons at Rajlovac Barracks near Sarajevo.
