On the 24th May a tribute was made at the Spanish Square in Mostar in memory of all the Spanish Servicemen and civilians who have died whilst supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
The ceremony, which was attended by local authorities, consisted of several visiting Spaniards, those who are resident in BiH, the Spanish Consul who lives in Mostar and members of the EUFOR Training and Doctrine team (TRADOC) based in BiH. The service included an emotional tribute to all the Spanish soldiers and civilians who fell whilst taking part in all international missions to BiH.

A ceremony to mark the handover of the position of EUFOR Chief of Staff (COS) took place at Camp Butmir today, 01st March 2013. The ceremony took place in the presence of Commander EUFOR, Major General Dieter HEIDECKER and Brigadier General János HUSZÁR, who is Head of Land Forces at Hungary’s Joint Force Command. In attendance were Ambassadors from the representative countries, Senior Officers of Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Senior National Representatives from the 23 EUFOR troop contributing nations.

Major General Robert Brieger today completed his one year tenure as the Commander of EUFOR. The Operational Commander, General Sir Richard Shirreff handed over the command of EUFOR to Major General Dieter Heidecker at the ceremony in Butmir Camp today.

On 5th June a Change of Command ceremony marking the transfer of authority of the Austrian national contingent from COL(GS) Jürgen Baranyai to COL(GS) Peter Pertl took place in Camp Butmir. Commander of EUFOR, Major General Robert Brieger, thanked the outgoing National Contingent Commander (NCC) for the outstanding job he has done and wished the new NCC all the best in his new job of responsibility.
A number of distinguished international guests witnessed Major General BRIEGER, COM EUFOR, passing the Command of the MNBN from LTC Friedrich ÖLBÖCK to LTC Thomas HOLZBAUER.
In a Ceremony held in Camp Butmir today, 6 Dec 2011 the Command of EUFOR was formally handed over from Major General Bernhard BAIR to Major General Robert BRIEGER.
