popup_type=normal}Image21st May - A group of 28 students from The University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands visited EUFOR today as part of a one week visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Students were welcomed to Camp Butmir by the Deputy Commander to EUFOR, Brigadier General Jose Carrasco.  They then received a series of presentations to widen their knowledge of the EUFOR Mission.  Mr Dzenan Hadzovic from the EUFOR Historical Branch gave them a short overview of the vast history of the country, which was followed by an interesting and in depth presentation by Mr Fabien Limonier one of the EUFOR Political Advisors.

ImageHaving received this background information they then learnt how the EUFOR Mission liaises with the local and international media, from Lieutenant Commander Mandy McBain Royal Navy, the EUFOR Spokesperson. Following the talks there was time for the students to engage with the presenters and ask many questions.

The students thoroughly enjoyed their morning at Camp Butmir and were very keen to learn more about the mission.  They left with a better understanding of what EUFOR does and how the many elements of the Mission continue to work towards making Bosnia and Herzegovina a safe and secure environment.
