On 10 May the Commander of the Land Forces of Austria, Lieutenant General Franz Reissner visited EUFOR HQ, Camp Butmir with a delegation from Austria for a meeting with Commander EUFOR, Major General Anton Waldner. He was greeted by an Honour Guard made up of Turkish troops from the Multinational Battalion.

Austria has around 300 soldiers in BiH as part of Operation Althea including the Air Detachment comprising AB212 helicopters and PC6 aircraft as well as 3 LOT Houses across the country in Bratunac, Brcko and Tuzla.
