    EUFOR Statement on the Hospitalisation of EUFOR Soldiers

    EUFOR can confirm that following an incident around 1630 on 22 July 2012 in Sarajevo old town (Bascarsia area) involving a group of EUFOR troops and an as yet unidentified group of civilians, 3 soldiers, who are members of the Hungarian contingent, received minor injuries and were taken to the Clinical Centre University of Sarajevo. Upon the arrival of the local police at the scene of the incident, the EUFOR soldiers provided identification and assisted the police with their enquiries.
    All 3 soldiers were discharged from the Clinical Centre University of Sarajevo in the early evening and have returned to Camp Butmir.
    The incident is currently being investigated by the local police and it would be inappropriate for EUFOR to comment further whilst the investigation is ongoing.
