| Major General Brieger and Ambassador Sørensen lay a wreath. |
During the Srebrenica commemoration on 11 July, EUFOR specialists supported the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina together with the organisers of the commemoration ceremony at the Potocari Memorial Centre. In particular, EUFOR provided landing zone co-ordination support for the helicopters from the BiH, Croatia and EUFOR operating out of temporary landing site in Bratunac.
EUFOR was able to support the International Community by utilising its helicopters to transport a number of guests. In addition, to
COM EUFOR and COM NATO Sarajevo the helicopters transported a number of VIP guests including the High Representative, Valentin Inzko and EU Special Representative Ambassador Peter Sørensen.
The EUFOR Alouette III was on standby for medical evacuation duties throughout the commemoration in Bratunac.
COM EUFOR laid a wreath together with the EUSR, Ambassador Sørensen. The wreath ceremony can be seen as a clear sign of the close co-operation between the two EU bodies in BiH and a clear demonstration that they support BiH on its path towards EU accession.
