On the 14th of October COM EUFOR Major General Johan Luif attended a press conference announcing his involvement with the UN Women HeForShe movement. Major General Luif joined the UN Women Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina Anne-Marie Esper Larsen at the event, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the organisation.

Speaking at the event he said,
‘As Commander EUFOR I am proud to be part of the HeForShe campaign. Gender equality is absolutely necessary, important and right. EUFOR is an organisation which has women employed in all levels of its operations, and we recognise that gender equality is not only beneficial for women but beneficial for everybody’
