Ambassador of Kuwait visits EUFOR HQ

COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair, with H.E. Mr Mohammed Fadel Khalaf, Ambassador of Kuwait to BiH.

On 3^rd August, Major General Bernhard Bair, the Commander of EUFOR welcomed His Excellency Mr Mohammad Fadel Khalaf, Ambassador of The State of Kuwait to Bosnia and Herzegovina to Camp Butmir.

In an Office Call, COM EUFOR briefed the Ambassador about EUFOR’s role as the military component of the overarching European Security and Defence Policy mission in BiH. They also discussed the forthcoming EUFOR cup 5-aside soccer competition.  This year’s competition will see approximately 300 schools compete and for the first time will include girls teams. The EUFOR cup aims to bring together the youth of BiH in a major sporting competition.

The Ambassador informed COM EUFOR that the State of Kuwait is supporting numerous social projects for the benefit of the BiH population.

COM EUFOR thanked the Ambassador for Kuwait’s ongoing support to EUFOR and its mission in BiH.
