Chief Prosecutor of ICTY Visits EUFOR

On 19th October 2010, Mr. Serge Brammertz, Chief Prosecutor of the International Crime Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), paid a visit to EUFOR HQ in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo. He was greeted by COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair and COM NATO HQ Sarajevo Brigadier General Enyeart, after which they sat down for an office call.

Mr. Brammertz was briefed on the current EUFOR activities and the ongoing co-operation between EUFOR, NATO and ICTY. The Chief Prosecutor is meeting various bodies whilst in the country to discuss ongoing cooperation with the Office of the Prosecutor and other matters related to the Tribunal’s Completion Strategy.
The Chief Prosecutor took the opportunity to thank both EUFOR and NATO for their continuing support and cooperation. Mr Brammertz stressed the need for a continuation of this support to ICTY for the foreseeable future.
