EUFOR in Race Against Drugs

On Saturday 26th June 2010, EUFOR soldiers from Hungary, The Netherlands and Great Britain took part in the Sarajevo 8km “Race Against Drugs” to raise funds to support local agencies working with drug addicts. 

The route took the runners through the city and up into the surrounding hills before finishing in the At Mejdan park. Said Major Bruce Foster of the Royal Marines: “The run was brilliant in the rain and it was a real high to see the view over the city and race down to the finish line.” 

The fastest EUFOR soldier was Major Gabor Ott from the Hungarian contingent who finished in a time of 27 minutes.
