Visit of Louvain University Students to EUFOR

Visit of University Students On 30th March 2010, 24 Masters students from the International Humanitarian Action Course of the Catholic University of Louvain, near Brussels, visited EUFOR.

Professor Catherine Gourbin and Coordinator and Researcher Galia Glume had organised a visit to EUFOR to show the students an example of how an EU mission works in a post conflict environment.

The Students were welcomed to Camp Butmir by COM EUFOR, Major General Bernhard Bair. A detailed presentation describing the intervention of EU and NATO was given by the EUFOR Political advisor Fabien Limonier. This was followed by a presentation by the Chief of the Press Office, Lt Col Knut Scheutz during which the students learned about how EUFOR works with the media to explain its key messages of safety and security for all the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
